Kaifeng Instrument E-mag series electromagnetic BTU meters (or magnetic BTU meters) are comprised of a converter, a flow sensor and 2 temperature sensors. Then flow sensor is placed inline, the 2 temperature sensors are installed on the inlet pipe and outlet pipe separately, the converter picks up the signals from all the sensors, and calculate the heat according to the flow volume and the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet pipelines.

 

The well designed structure provides a hermetic seal that protects against moisture and other contaminants. The sealed housing ensures maximum sensor reliability by protecting all internal components and wiring from even the most aggressive environments.

The meter can be used for measuring thermal energy consumption in heating or cooling application for HVAC and other thermal energy measurement and metering installations.
